Sara Morrocchi
Relationship Coffee Manager
Sara implements the Gombe Coffee Promotion Project from
Kigoma, Tanzania. In this position, she oversees three
expert agronomists, provides farmer training, and
facilitates long term relationships between the
cooperative and roasters. Prior to her work with
Sustainable Harvest, Sara worked in Kenya for three years
to facilitate training on labor rights for workers and to
providing advocacy leadership in Nairobi slums.
Sara holds a Masters Degree in Peacekeeping Management from the University of Turin, and a Bachelors in Philosophy and Politics from the University of Warwick, in the United Kingdom. She speaks Italian, English, Spanish, and Kiswahili.
Thangale Athanasi Thangale
Chief Agricultural Extensionist
Thangale joined Sustainable Harvest with extensive
experience in coffee agronomy and teaching. Since 1983,
he has worked in various reforestation and water
conservation activities, including as the Rukwa Region
Regional Land Use Planning Officer and the Rukwa Region
Head of Farmers Education Department. He has managed both
tobacco and coffee farms, and owns his own tree nursery
with over 200,000 different species.
With Sustainable Harvest, Thangale leads our team of
three agronomists to provide trainings and support to the
2,700 KANYOVU coffee cooperative under the Gombe Coffee
Promotion Project.
Thangale received dual certificates at Zomba College in
Malawi in Land Husbandry, Natural Resources Planning and
Management, as well as in Integrated Conservation. He
speaks Swahili and English.
Boss Mohamed Farijallah
Agricultural Extensionist
With Sustainable Harvest, Boss works within our Tanzania
agronomy team to provide training and support to the
2,700 KANYOVU coffee cooperative under the Gombe Coffee
Promotion Project.
Boss graduated with a B.S. in Agricultural Education and Extension from Sokoine University in Tanzania. He is a member of the United Nation Association of Tanzania, and speaks both Swahili and English.
Hamis Omari Kijuu
Agricultural Extensionist
Hamis Omari joined Sustainable Harvest with many years of
experience in coffee processing. Hamis Omari spent over
15 years with the Tanzania Coffee Authority as an
agricultural extensionist, working mainly with farmers
groups and small associations.
His wide experienced brought him to work in the Ministry of Agriculture as a government extensionist in Kigoma District. Over the years he has gathered extensive knowledge of the area and he has built good relationships with coffee farmers and the Kanyovu cooperative. He is a well known and trusted extensionist in most of the villages where Sustainable Harvest is promoting its activities.
With Sustainable Harvest, Hamis Omari works within our Tanzania agronomy team to provide training and support to the 2,700 KANYOVU coffee cooperative under the Gombe Coffee Promotion Project.
Hamis Omari holds an Agricultural Diploma from the School of Agriculture in Shinyanga Region. He speaks fluent Swahili and English.
