Angel Garcia Noriega
Quality Control and Chief Sample Roaster
Angel works in Sustainable Harvest’s Lima office as a skilled roaster, cupper, and quality controller. Angel has a lifetime of experience with coffee. He grew up in San Martin, one of Peru’s newer coffee growing regions where, in 1992 through a project called Alto Mayo, the first coffee farms were introduced in the region and Angel was able to learn the agronomy of coffee and how to organize grower groups into cooperatives.
After mastering the farmer side of the supply chain, Angel worked as a coffee exporter in Lima, where he coordinated shipping logistics and worked with producers to develop quality control standards. Angel maintains relationships with the growers he grew up with and uses his diverse knowledge of coffee to monitor and guarantee the journey of Sustainable Harvest's coffee from farm to port.
