Ejidos San Fernando is a large cooperative located near Tuxtla Gutierrez with 1,300 producers, 40% of whom originate from indigenous cultures in the area, and 4,500 hectares of production. In recent years, the farmers of Ejidos San Fernando have renovated over 2,000 plants with new varieties, showing determination to emerge from the Roya crisis with strength and new beginnings. The fruits of their labor are now showcased in the form of extraordinary coffees.
This particular lot from Ejidos San Fernando farmer Enrique Gonzalez is part of our La Lucha line of coffees which are notable for their exceptional quality and the determination of the farmers behind the cup. It's comprised of Bourbon, Typica, and Caturra varieties, and was grown under the shade of citrus and inga trees. It features a vibrant fruit and sweet notes thanks to its mineral-rich terroir and honey processing.
