About the producer

El Jilguero was founded in 2006 and named in honor of the natural reserve near the cooperative's farms. In particular, El Jiluero pays homage to the birds of the reserve, who's beautiful song spiritually resonates with the farmers. The farms of El Jilguero are located throughout the Márcala, Chinacla, Santa Elena, Santa María, San José , Opatoro, and San Pedro de Tutule municipalities of La Paz. Farmers from these areas deliver their coffee to a centralized washing station, in the community of de la Flores, Marcala, La Paz.
