Wilson Gallegos, 60, has been the owner of this farm for more than 40 years and has worked together with his younger brother Juan Carlos Gallegos, 31, since Juan’s childhood. For many years they produced coffee in a traditional way, without focusing on quality. During this time, they sold their coffee to intermediaries.
About six years ago they joined a producer organization, which had been providing them better access to the market, and motivated them to improve their production practices and produce high-quality coffee. Unfortunately, the association disappeared due to economic challenges, but they have remained focused on producing delicious coffee and finding customers that value their hard work.
